Såå... Nu har jag gjort två dagars pass av renvaktning, om väder å vind håll i sig som de ser ut på prognosen så drar vi iväg imorgon torsdag igen och då kommer fetskidorna läggas bakpå skoterkälken. Jihaa!

As I´ve told you here before, one of my extra job beside my big mountain comps is to be a reindeer hodge. Helping a Laplander with his animals. In the autumm the work has been to separate reindeers into their flocks, slaughter, give them vaccine and like now, guard "sami village´s" flock, of 5000 animals. When we guard the flock we go around the flock with snowmobiles, heli and in the summer on four-wheeler, motorbikes or running. The reindeer flock is moving in the wintertime down to the forest, where it is easier for them to find food, and now in the springtime the hole flock is changing their direction, and walking back the same way back up to the mountain where they prefer to be, (especially when it´s less mosquitos up there in the summertime). On this way we are guarding them so that they all is moving in the right direction and so that they don´t walking over forbidden lands. It might sound as easy work, but it is actually a really hard work. Real physical, but also meantally for the Laplanders tho it´s right now is taking, judicial statements if the, Laplanders and their reindeer, has the judicial right of being- and using the land or not.
